The Kaya Great Northern Hotel enjoys a superb location right next to King's Cross and St Pancras stations, making it ideal for travel, and it's surrounded by various dining options, with Granary Square a short walk away. Guests consistently praise the beautifully decorated rooms, some offering pleasant views, such as the St Pancras clock tower. Though some found the WC door a simple sliding door, the rooms are generally spacious and comfortable, with well-appointed bathrooms, and a great touch is the pantry on each floor offering complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks.

Excellent Location and Thoughtful Touches

table service high quality quiet room room upgrade
I liked the table service breakfast. The quality seemed high. I saw fresh orange juice made using chilled oranges. The room was lovely. It was very quiet even though it is next to the station. The team helped with a late check out and a room upgrade. The price seemed good considering the quality.
The reception staff were not friendly. It took a long time to get an invoice processed.

The hotel is steps away from Kings Cross Station making train travel easy. Plenty of shops and food options are available nearby providing convenience. Navigating throughout the city is simple due to the proximity to the tube.
Rooms

The room included little lights in the bathroom for nighttime visibility. Switches near the bed allowed easy control of the room's lighting. A nespresso machine was available in the room allowing me to make coffee in the morning.
Dining

Breakfast featured table service, providing attentive service. Fresh orange juice was available. I appreciated that chilled oranges were used to make it. The quality of the breakfast was also notably high.

excellent location quiet room helpful staff
The location is excellent and very convenient for transportation. I appreciated the quietness of my room on a high floor. The hotel provided easy access to King's Cross for my train to Edinburgh. Staff stored my bags and gave useful recommendations.
The housekeeper entered my room unexpectedly. This occurred in the late evening while I was in the bathroom, quite unsettling.
Rooms

My room included a window with a nice view, where I enjoyed espresso each morning. The room size was on the smaller side. It had all necessary amenities and was comfortable and cozy .

Fantastic Stay Near King's Cross!

perfect location hallway pantry great feature
The location is perfect! I arrived and departed by train. It's so close to the train station and underground. I used the pantry at the end of the hallway. It's a great feature with tea, coffee, fruit, and cakes.
The power points were in awkward spots. It was hard to charge devices.
Dining
10/10
Breakfast service was excellent. I enjoyed it in the lovely Rails restaurant. Everything was cooked to order and delivered right to my table. The packed breakfast for my early start was also amazing.

small room inadequate temperature control
The room felt quite small, I must say. Space around the bed was limited. I also found the temperature control to be off. It was hard to get the room to a comfortable level. The reception staff wasn't particularly helpful. I didn't feel my concerns were adequately addressed!
